Summary:

This position is a critical part of the U.S. multiple myeloma DARZALEX marketing team. The GPD, Professional Marketing, will be responsible for leading a team accountable for the development and execution of the U.S. professional marketing strategies and plan. This role will function as a leader on the DARZALEX marketing team and will report directly to the Sr. Director/ Director of Marketing. The GPD will be responsible for the leadership of direct reports and must work closely with multiple functions including Business Analytics, Sales, Sales Training, Franchise Marketing, Finance, Medical Affairs, Real World Value & Evidence (HECOR), Strategic Customer Group, Corporate Communications, Global Commercial Strategy and outside vendors to effectively execute key commercial activities. In addition, this GPD will also collaborate closely with leaders across the Multiple Myeloma and Bispecific Portfolio.

Responsibilities include but limited to:

Lead development of short- and long-term professional marketing strategies and tactics for DARZALEX and maximize the growth of the business. Set clear strategy to optimize execution.

Lead, partner, share insights with cross-functional partners to ensure strong collaboration and ideation to develop and execute assets based on key customer insights.

Manage professional agency of record and other specialty agencies to implement HCP tactics and training.

Lead media and digital strategy and asset creation for HCP audience, inclusive of launching core JET/DEP assets.

Manage budget, including all aspects of agency and media spend.

Partner with market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics to deepen key insights for the brand, market & current/future indications.

Play a meaningful role partnering with cross functional partners including Global, US Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Sales Leadership, Finance, Oncology Franchise marketing and agency partners to develop professional marketing plans and tactics for the U.S. business.

Lead HCP engagement strategy including collaboration with cross-functional partners and MM market development team to ensure strategic message alignment with KOLs and peer-to-peer programs and education.

Provide input to forecasts for product line and updates throughout the year.

Coordinate promotional activities with sales management and deliver strategic content for field meetings.

Partner with Sales Training on product training requirements and execution to the field.

Supports franchise team cross-functional initiatives, including but not limited to agile marketing.

Partner with legal, medical, regulatory & HCC to support team in approval of marketing materials.

Oversee tactical execution of direct reports; Provide coaching, development, and day-to-day management of direct reports.

Develop, retain, and motivate direct reports.

Qualifications

BA/BS required; MBA preferred.

Minimum 10 years business experience is required (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Management, etc.) of which 5 years demonstrated marketing experience and proven performance is required.

Demonstrated in-line marketing experience and success is required.

Demonstrated people management experience is required.

Multiple Myeloma/Oncology experience preferred.

Sales or Sales leadership experience is preferred.

Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix and unstructured environment.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and challenge the status quo.

Strong verbal, written and executive communication skills are required along with demonstrated presentation skills.
