This position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units, executing key Human Resources (HR) initiatives, providing responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional excellence and continuous improvement.

This role…

Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business units financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition.

Consult with assigned management and provide HR guidance to management and employees.

Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Assist leadership with developing and enhancing their leadership style and management effectiveness through group and one-on-one coaching.

Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with respective business leaders.

Work with management on employee issues such as progressive discipline, involuntary termination, leave of absence, ADA requests, benefits eligibility, enrollment, etc. as well as promotions and employee recognition programs.

Work with management to monitor turnover; ensure exit interviews are conducted to identify and evaluate causes of turnover; assist management in developing action plans to address causes of turnover.

Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR colleagues to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Manage and resolve employee relations issues; Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and recommend changes.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment laws, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Partner with the legal department as needed.

Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)

Identify training needs and engage Organizational Development; Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.

Maintain and protect confidential and personal information and data demonstrating discretion, judgment, and care; Ensure all personnel files are complete according to company guidelines and are kept in a secured location; Administers or oversee HR-related paperwork from hire to termination which includes new hire orientation and onboarding, employee changes, terminations, benefits eligibility, and enrollment, workers compensation and OSHA reporting and administration.

May respond to unemployment claims as necessary to include hearing preparation and attendance.

Provide coaching, support, and leadership for the HR team.

Participate in other projects or duties as assigned.

Occasional business travel may be required.

We are interested in speaking to individuals with the following…

Bachelors Degree preferred.

Seven (7) plus years of experience.

Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) credential or HRCI Professional of Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) required.

Strong knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and employment laws.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; approachable and responsive; ability to maintain strong working relationships with employees and leaders at all levels; ability to speak, write, and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure delivers information clearly and concisely, and facilitates good decision making.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Extreme flexibility to be proactive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Competence in making timely, effective, principle-based decisions.

Ability to advise managers on coaching and counseling employees, improving performance, and resolving problems.

Ability to make sound recommendations and resolve problems or issues by using judgment.

Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Salary: $92.500- $124,900

Bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
