Northrop Grummans Talent organization is seeking a HR Project Manager. Reporting to the Manager of Events & Logistics, this role will manage the operational aspects of in-person and virtual events in support of enterprise talent initiatives, including leadership and technical development. This role will support and elevate the participant experience in key cohort programs and other identified trainings.
This position must be performed onsite, preferably from the Falls Church, VA Corporate Office or another major NG site. This position can be hired as a Level 2, or Level 3, depending on the experience and education of the incumbent.
Responsibilities include:
Creation of detailed project plans to execute large-scale meetings and cohorts
Create and distribute event communications through PowerAutomate
Collaboration with key stakeholders to understand event requirements
Provide in-person event support including detailed inspection, liaison with venue management, and stakeholder and participant engagement
Participate in negotiations and contracting with 3rd party vendors
Support virtual delivery of programs by serving as technical producer for facilitators
Serve as a Learning Management System (LMS) administrator including the setup of courses, tracking of registrants, reconciliation for course credit, and course close-out
Create and maintain process documentation
Participate in process improvement and identifying ways to improve the participant experience
Participate in Agile sprint planning, scrum meetings, retrospectives, and PI planning meetings
Provide all necessary logistical and administrative support for projects to include scheduling of meetings, zoom break out facilitation, packaging and shipping of materials, etc.
Qualifications for Level 3:
Bachelors degree and at least 6 years of relevant professional experience; 4 years with a Master’s degree. (Appropriate combination of degree and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
Track record of managing and executing large-scale HR or business projects and initiatives with multi-level stakeholder groups
Demonstrated experience communicating with senior executives
Proficient project management skills to include creating project plans and managing timelines/milestones
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to deliver on key dates and commitments
Ability to travel 15% of the time for off-site events
Qualifications for Level 2:
Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience; 1 year with a Master’s degree. (Appropriate combination of degree and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
Basic project management skills to include creating project plans, managing timelines/milestones
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to deliver on key dates and commitments
Ability to travel 15% of the time for off-site events
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience producing training on a virtual platform, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams
Experience with Agile methodology
Experience in leveraging automation and software tools to improve efficiency
Experience managing venues to include catering, event set-up and high attention to detail
Salary Range: $62,200 – $108,100
Salary Range 2: $76,600 – $133,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
