Summary:
The Senior Human Resources Advisor serves as the primary interface between Human Resources and assigned operational/staff units. The Advisor has three roles, provide consultation and collaboration with management, acts as an advocate for employees, and serves as an agent for the Hospital relative to employment law and HR compliance. The Advisor provides support across the full spectrum of HR issues, providing feedback to and linkage with all functional components of Human Resources. The Advisor provides these services with a focus on being proactive, preventive, positive and productive.
Responsibilities:
1. Serves as a trusted partner to management of assigned operational/staff units within the full scope of Human Resources functions and advises directors, management and staff regarding HR policies, processes and practices.
2. Provides the highest standards of customer service and serves as the point of contact for all directors, managers and employees in assigned operational/staff units regarding HR issues.
3. Advocates for employees in situations where a third party is required.
4. Provides expertise and consultation to include interpretation, past practice, investigations, complaint procedures and disciplinary actions.
5. Proactively identifies potential issues, makes appropriate recommendations, and helps management resolve the issues before they become a problem.
6. Analyzes a variety of data, composes appropriate reports for management and advises directors and managers in the development and implementation of action plans required based on data analysis.
7. Provides ongoing assessment and coaching to directors, managers and staff and recommends development plans where needed.
8. Advises directors, managers and staff regarding employee relations issues, recommends courses of action and ensures consistency and fairness in all resolutions.
9. Ensures full compliance with all regulatory agency requirements and educates/coaches directors, managers and staff regarding these requirements.
10. Serves as the liaison between HR and other administrative departments within the organization.
11. Monitors that there is a thorough assimilation of each employee into their department and the organization.
12. Seeks out professional development opportunities and continually upgrades HR technical expertise and consultative skills.
13. Conducts training programs as necessary and serves on appropriate committees as requested by members of management or HR leadership.

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
• Professional certification in Human Resources (SPHR) strongly preferred.
Professional Experience Requirements:
• 5-7 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Experience in a Healthcare environment preferred.
