Overview
Essential Functions:
The Baggage Service Agent assists passengers within the terminal with general questions regarding directions and terminal services. Excellent Customer Service will be needed as you will handle customer complaints. In some instances, Baggage Service Agents may function as translators and work with foreign travelers.
Responsibilities:
Manning the baggage service office for arriving passengers. This involves attending to customers after they arrive, or when they are switching between flights.
Assisting passengers by answering questions, providing directions, or attending to their other needs. This includes helping passengers with inquiries about delayed or lost baggage.
Assisting passengers over the phone when they call inquiring about information regarding their baggage.
Monitor the baggage service carousels ensuring all passengers receive their baggage.
Process delayed, damaged, and set up delivery of baggage claims.
Performs duties by all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures by the Company, by our clients, and by regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to lift to 70 lbs.
Must meet all requirements to receive the required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including a ten-year work history if available.
