Assistant Plant Director
Assists in leading all aspects of a manufacturing plant. This includes safety, quality, production and cost in various departments within the plant. Developmental opportunity to prepare an individual to step into the role of Plant Director.
Essential Functions
Responsible to lead a safe plant culture.
Responsible for product quality control for the plant.
Responsible for plant production goals.
Responsible to manage specific cost controls for plant.
Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policy and guidelines.
Work with department managers to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, quality and shipping.
Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff.
Foster a well-trained and motivated staff through excellent leadership and communication skills.
Conduct employee performance reviews.
Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
Ensure maintenance of clean and safe plant.
Communicate with all levels of personnel through strong interpersonal skills.
Attend corporate trainings and meetings.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Communicate daily operations to plant director.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization (executives, managers, employees and customers).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
6 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
6 Years – Experience in Position
4 Years – Experience managing people/projects
experience may include a combination of work experience and education
Strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi task
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, or customers
High sense of urgency
Ability to work well under pressure in fast paced environment
Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
