The role you’ll contribute:

The Database Management Specialist is responsible for the accurate maintenance of the Physician Database. Responsible for understanding how to resolve issues related to transcribed physician report delivery and coordinating with Physician Informatics team and Medical Staff as needed. Performs regular audits of the database to ensure data integrity. Professionally and politely communicates with physicians, physician office staff and all AdventHealth departments. Actively participates in unresolved physician reporting issues and maintains a file of issues and their resolution. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Assists with Facility and Divisional reports, Provides statistical and analytical reports to local Medical Staff Offices (MSO) and other stakeholders.

Manages the Credentialing software Database. Audits, analyzes, troubleshoots and problem solves.

Audits, analyzes and maintains integrity of provider data in credentialing system for AdventHealth.

Maintains a close working relationship with Medical Staff Offices, Regions, system departments and Key Stakeholders.

Develop and maintain organizations databases as applicable.

Creates data storage and retrieval systems.

Troubleshoot database issues.

Implement database recovery procedures and safety protocols.

Supervise the daily activities of database teams.

Ensure the safety of a companys information by implementing security programs.

Coordinate system wide data projects.

Prepare data models.

Assesses database performance by developing protocols to measure results and identify problem areas. Supports database performance by monitoring, evaluating, and resolving processing and programming problems.

Development and delivery of reports that reflect operating performance and compliance with standards, applicable state and accrediting agency requirements to include The Joint Commission, DNV, and CMS.

Completes database management to ensure appropriate access and confidentiality while maintaining integrity of the credentialing database.

Assists in special projects. Supports the health system mission, values, and philosophy.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

· Associates Degree in computer science or related field with minimum of two years of Medical Staff, provider data or CVO (Centralized Verification Office) experience OR Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field with minimum of one year of Medical Staff, provider data or CVO experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

· Knowledge of medical terminology and or the ability to learn medical terminology.

· Computer skills and high degree of proficiency in MSOffice, credentialing database

· Ability to work independently.

· Strong written, phone and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and cooperate with customers leadership, and Key Stakeholders..

· Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.

· Detail oriented with strong critical thinking, organizational, and planning skills.

· Knowledge of healthcare environment and healthcare delivery systems.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to provider information and understand/adhere to HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures.

· Ability to function in demanding, stressful, and fast paced, confidential environment.
