Pharmacy Technician – Government Pharmacy – Remote

The Pharmacy Technician Lead Representative will work within the Cigna Medicare Pharmacy Quality Improvement Department . The technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service, quality, and accuracy to support Medicare pharmacy services and programs. The Pharmacy Technician Lead Representative engages customers, pharmacists, and multiple departments to help facilitate clinical program processes and collaborative initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Provide care coordination between pharmacy and care management (CM) departments, serving as the liaison for pharmacy-related issues.

Review and interpret clinical documentation and pharmacy claims data.

Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, including leadership support with reporting and special projects.

Manage inbound and outbound calls to engage customers, providers, case managers, or other matrix partners

Support and maintain company and regulatory compliance guidelines.

Ensure privacy and confidentiality as required by HIPAA and company guidelines.

Provide superior customer service in assisting customers obtain their needed medications.

Perform day-to-day workflow as directed, meeting productivity and performance standards.

Adhere to company policies and procedures including the company’s attendance and employment policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred (CPhT)

Medicare benefit, pharmacy (retail / Pharmacy Benefits Manager), or health care experience preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to understand and interpret policy provisions.

Demonstrate strong data entry, Intermediate or advance excel and typing skills with proficiency in the use of a PC including ability to use a mouse and keyboard interchangeably.

Self-motivator with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional time management skills required.

Ability to work independently in an efficient manner.

Ability to use telephone equipment including a headset.

Communicates information in a tactful and positive manner at all times.

Capacity to understand complex oral and written directions as well as technical information.

Exhibits a positive attitude at all times; embraces and adapts to change.

Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a high-performing team.

Work Schedule:

Department hours of operation: 8am-6pm (EST) Monday – Friday

Job Location:

Work from home primarily but may require some in-office time on occasion.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
