Your Role at KIK
We are seeking a skilled operator to join our 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday 3:00 pm – 1:30 am) filling operations team. The ideal candidate will confidently operate the filler, managing functions such as starting/stopping, speed adjustments, and coordination of controls. Your role involves staying vigilant for any operational challenges and reacting swiftly to overcome them. We require someone with in-depth knowledge of the fillers capabilities and limitations, coupled with the ability to identify and address unsafe conditions effectively. Clear communication is key, as youll be interacting with various team members and departments. Moreover, your responsibility includes managing alerts related to maintenance, ensuring timely communication with both maintenance and management. If youre proactive, knowledgeable, and possess strong communication skills, we invite you to apply for this integral position in our production team. This position has an hourly rate of $18.00, plus a .50 shift differential for second shift, in addition to an annual incentive bonus.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operate the filler and maintain operational condition throughout production runs
Manage the entire filling operation by controlling filler functions such as starting/stopping, adjusting speeds, coordinating variable speed controls etc
Maintain vigilance for any disruptions within the filling operation and able to react quickly to overcome such upsets
Ability to apply in-depth knowledge of the filler’s operational capacities and its operational limitations
Ability to identify unsafe conditions and react with proper techniques to correct these conditions
Ability to communicate clearly with downline associates, supervisors, managers, and maintenance department
Manage alerts to maintenance and management for all maintenance related issues
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to lift 60 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to sit, kneel, bend at waist, reach and extend arms
Must have good manual dexterity
Ability to function in a range of temperatures
Must be physically able to wear PPE
