We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Services Expert to join our team. This role is responsible for providing specialized services that support project profitability and on-time deliverables for Capital Equipment (CE) and Engineered-To-Order (ETO) projects. The Field Services Expert will provide hands-on installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and process expertise for metal recycling equipment. The ideal candidate will act as the first point of contact for key customers, ensuring the proper functionality of equipment and adherence to all quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.

responsibilities:

Act as the primary point of contact for customers requiring field/technical support for metal recycling equipment.

Provide process expertise in maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical incidents.

Deliver hands-on service for installation, start-up, and commissioning of metal recycling equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with contract designs.

Ensure adherence to Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) regulations both at TSLI and on-site, including conducting safety inspections and creating job safety analysis (JSA) reports.

Develop and maintain technical competency related to existing products and emerging technologies within the metal recycling industry.

Review sales orders for accuracy, scope, and schedule; participate in customer meetings to support project requirements.

Provide expert technological support to sales and account management teams, contributing to service sales and proposals.

Travel domestically and internationally as required, with an average of 50% travel.

Maintain and improve product lines through collaboration with technical services and product managers.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service or sales support, preferably within the metal recycling industry.

Hands-on experience in hydraulics and mechanical troubleshooting is required.

Post-secondary education in electrical or electronic technology is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, IT tools, CRM (Salesforce), and ERP systems (SAP).

Professional client management skills and business acumen.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Interpersonal and negotiation abilities, with a customer-centric approach.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to travel (domestic and international) and interact with customers as needed. 50% – 70% Travel is required

Ability to anticipate customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Excellent relationship-building skills with both team members and customers.

Ability to handle conflicting priorities and work under pressure.

Solid understanding of domestic and international customer service issues.
