Probation Officer (Jefferson Co)

Duties/Responsibilities:

– Supervise misdemeanor offenders to ensure compliance to probation order.
– Maintain working relationship with sessions, juvenile and criminal court officials.
– Assist with the registration of misdemeanor offenders.
– Maintain and submit data for monthly and quarterly reports for the Misdemeanor Probation Program for state and agency auditors.
– Collect and deposit of fees, conduct random urine screens, and coordinate the use of electronic monitoring devices.
– Provide oversight of and assistance with various classes including anger management, DUI, domestic violence, and alcohol and drug awareness.

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associates or Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Administration, Social Work, or Behavioral Sciences;
– Valid Tennessee Driver license.
– Must have at least four years of experience in Criminal Justice or a social services agency providing counseling services; or
– Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
