JOB SUMMARY
The Student Respiratory Therapist (SRT) assists licensed respiratory therapists by providing the most basic respiratory therapy procedures. These procedures are performed under the direct, immediate, and on premise supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist. The SRT will perform oxygen therapy setups/maintenance, suction setups, and holter monitor setups. The SRT will also be responsible for processing dirty equipment, testing cleaned equipment, stocking supplies in the department and patient care areas, and answering phones.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
Education/Regulatory Requirements:
Actively enrolled student in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with successful completion of their first semester of course work.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Skills:
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
Knowledge of basic and advanced Cardiopulmonary procedures.
