JOB SUMMARY

Provides total pharmaceutical care through the delivery of clinical and distributive pharmaceutical services, professional education and training, designing and monitoring drug therapy, patient counseling and education, and performance of quality assurance (performance improvement) activities. Demonstrates a commitment to professional development and maintains professional competence in higher areas of specialization: therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic monitoring, metabolic/nutrition support, adverse drug reaction detection and management, pharmacotherapeutics, and disease state management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

Education/Regulatory Requirements:

Doctorate of pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent. (And/or completion of clinical skills program by ASHP or Pharm D in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy – preferred.)

Graduate from accredited School of Pharmacy.

Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Mississippi.

Skills:

Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.

Calculation skills

Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.

Organizational leadership, and interpersonal skills.
