Site Services Project Manager

B&W is looking to hire a Field Service Proposal/Project Manager within the Diamond Power and Allen-Sherman-Hoff product lines. Qualified candidate within this role will work with the District Engineer, other Service Engineers and Sales team to market, develop, propose and manage Field Managed Contracts (FMC).
To be successful in carrying out the functions of this role you will have to be able to manage multiple contracts of various sizes, scopes and durations at one time. On a regular basis, you will interact with external customers, A&Es, and vendors. For FMC Project development and execution, you will work closely with B&W Engineering, manufacturing and purchasing teams to Direct, control, and execute FMC projects. Duties include:

– Provide project leadership through planning, coordination, organization, direction and control of contracts
– Coordinate functional activities, so as to meet cost and schedule requirements of the contract
– Define, scope and propose projects to meet customer needs or wants
– Lead and coordinate proposal activities and negotiations
– Review customer specifications to define project/proposal scope
– Develop project estimates and generate PARs
– Maintain accurate FMC contract cost versus estimate records
– Provide contract administration
– Participate in onsite meetings and activities as required
– Prepare technical engineering or project reports
– Develop new technical solutions to address customer issues and problems
– Supervise or direct other service engineers on project support activities
– Train other service engineers on FMC project execution
– Assist DE in office responsibilities (responding to customer calls, scheduling, etc.) in DEs absence

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
3-5 years of experience in Field Service, Proposal, or Project Management is desired
Desire to travel as required in support of proposals and projects
Strong communication and technical knowledge skills
Self-directed and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to oversee the work of others involved in the project execution
Strong customer service skills
Detail-orientated, strong organizational skills
