Job Title: Mechanical Field Service Engineer
Job Description
Install new or modified equipment at customers facility to ensure full functionality.
Review performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives.
Inspect malfunctioning or damaged products to determine the nature and scope of the problem.
Determine the source of the problem and recommend repair and replacement.
Coordinate problem resolution with engineering teams.
Review machine designs and engineering drawings.
Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Analyze reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and processes.
Develop service handbooks and bulletins based on engineering changes.
Serve as a communication link between the customer and the company to ensure effective service is provided.
This role includes tuition reimbursement and requires up to 75% travel.

Work Environment
Very large, clean manufacturing space attached to a multi-story office building. When not traveling, time will be spent troubleshooting equipment. Work schedule includes 10-12 hour days with time and a half for overtime. Majority of jobs last 3 days, with some extending up to 2 weeks. Travel 2-3 weeks each month, including some travel to Mexico and Canada.
