Responsibilities
Responds to a variety of member and provider inquiries from Commercial and Medicare Advantage product lines through determined channels such as telephone, written, email, and face-to-face.
Our Customer Care agents are experts at identifying and resolving potential issues that might affect our members. Our agents are problem solvers and love to help people. They communicate clearly over the phone and in writing. They know when to request additional information and follow member issues through to resolution.
Qualifications
Associate degree in business administration, communications or a related field, or equivalent combination of education/training (minimum high school diploma or GED) and experience. Bachelors degree preferred.
2 years of additional customer service experience in healthcare, banking, retail, hospitality, or other related industry, preferably in a contact center. Experience in appeals and/or correspondence preferred.
Basic computer navigation and Microsoft Office skills.
Knowledge of standard customer service practices and principles.
Basic knowledge of health insurance products and services preferred.
Compensation, Training and Schedule
This is a work at home position with the option to work in an office if preferred. All training will be conducted virtually. Customer service agents earn $19 to $20 per hour during training, with a raise upon completion of our training program.
We provide our representatives with the tools they need to excel in their role, including a nine (9) month training program. Training includes both classroom and on-the-job instruction. When you have completed training, you will earn a promotion.
Training Schedule — During training, Customer Care team members work 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Work Schedule — Once fully trained your schedule can be anytime during normal business hours.
· April 1st through Sep 30 th
7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. M-F and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
· Oct 1st through March 31
7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 7 days a week.
You can earn a shift premium for working scheduled hours after 6 p.m. weekdays and on Saturdays. If you are scheduled for a Saturday shift, you will have a day off during the week.
