Responsible for implementing and maintaining test automation suites across various frameworks and applications. Advocates for change across IT leadership and architecture to introduce new tools and technologies, particularly those related to test automation. Actively stays informed about the IT industry, keeping up with developments, trends, and best practices. Plays a key role in maintaining quality assurance standards, both for manual and automated testing in web and mobile applications. Assists in overcoming QA-related challenges for team members and contribute to larger, complex testing initiatives. Provide mentorship and coaching to other quality assurance professionals while handling additional assigned duties.

Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing and maintaining test automation suites in various frameworks and applications that vary in complexity.

Advocates for change, ability to coordinate with IT leadership/architecture regarding new tools/technologies, leads bringing in tools/training to drive test automation.

Maintains active awareness of IT Industry including new developments, emerging trends, development tools, QA techniques and best practices and drives change where appropriate.

Develop, maintain, and radiate quality assurance best practices, guardrails, and metrics for both manual and automation platforms in web and mobile applications.

Mentors/coaches new and existing quality assurance individual contributors, assists in removing QA related roadblocks for team members.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business or related field or equivalent experience.

15 years of software quality assurance experience, automation engineering

Experience with test automation tools.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

Advanced understanding of technologies including mainframe, distributed and web.

Advanced understanding of software development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.

Advanced understanding of both automation and manual testing processes and tools.

Strong project management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work across multiple projects and resources.

Strong understanding of business processes.
