Jobs for Ohios Graduates (JOG) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Engagement and Training Coordinator to support our Workforce Opportunities for Rural Communities (WORC) and Good Jobs Challenge (GJC) initiatives. This position is responsible for engaging new employers and community partners, facilitating training programs, and developing hands-on training components related to basic manufacturing. The coordinator will be critical in enhancing talent and workforce development opportunities.

Essential Functions:

Employer and Community Engagement:

– Recruit new relationships with employers, local area schools, tech centers, industry partners, and community organizations within Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
– Identify and secure partnerships that provide employment, internship, and training opportunities for program participants.
– Organize and attend networking events, job fairs, and community meetings to promote JOG programs.

Training Development and Facilitation:

– Develop and refine hands-on boot camp training modules focused on basic manufacturing skills.
– Facilitate training sessions, ensuring that content is engaging, practical, and aligned with industry standards.
– Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, materials, and participant communication.

Program Management:

– Oversee the implementation of training programs, ensuring adherence to timeliness and quality standards.
– Monitor and evaluate training outcomes, providing feedback and making improvements as needed.
– Collaborate with the JOG team to align training programs with organizational goals and participant needs.

Participant Support:

– Provide guidance and support to participants throughout the training process.
– Track participant progress and maintain accurate records of training activities and outcomes.
– Facilitate Graduation from training with certificate.
– Proctor final examination and certification.

Additional Responsibilities:

– Complete the initial development of the hands-on boot camp training.
– Facilitate scheduled GJC training sessions for four sessions (October, November, January, and April).
– Participate in additional GJC training sessions if the program is extended.
