NORMAL WORKING HOURS: Monday — Friday 8:00 a.m. — 4:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Completion of secondary education plus five (5) years responsible secretarial experience or equivalent; Supervision experience is highly recommended but not required. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs including Word and Excel; possess strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and be capable of working independently according to policy guidelines.
The duties of this position include but are not limited to:
– Oversee numerous office functions, including but not limited to clerical work, payroll, budgeting, daily banking, reconciliation, tax collection, HR responsibilities.
– Give guidance to employees and customers in handling errors, problems, complaints, and/or disputes.
– Employee recruitment, including interviews and hiring.
– Assist with employee evaluations and make recommendations on personnel actions, such as promotions or firing.
– Monitor Investments, banking transactions, fraud alerts.
– Use the county database to pay invoices and prepare budgets.
– Use multiple databases to perform daily functions such as process tax payments, scan checks, import and export files to the bank, process NSF payments.
– Receive, respond, and take messages to telephone calls and e-mails.
– Employee will be handling HR, payroll, and banking matters; confidentiality is vital.
