A Day in the Life:
Under moderate supervision, partner with facility management and at the direction of the plant human resources manager, position performs professional level HR work to develop, implement, and administer human resources policies, programs and procedures. This position will be responsible for employee / labor relations and maintaining a positive employee relations environment.
What Youll Be Doing:
Support facility management and HR manager by providing a full range of Human Resources services including, but not limited to, policy and procedure counsel/implementation, staffing and selection, performance management, benefits administration, and coaching, training and development of local management and facility personnel.
Interprets various routine HR plans, programs, policies, and procedures for employees and provides advice and recommendations to facility management. Assists in administration of policies and procedures, current state, local and federal regulations and corporate objectives.
Responsible for ensuring HR compliance activities are completed timely and accurately.
Assist Regional and Facility HR manager with contract negotiations.
Maintain an awareness of workforce demographics and operational requirements. Prepare and analyze reports relating to turnover, headcount, etc. Assist plant HR and/or regional HR leadership in developing strategies to address workforce gaps and surpluses and proactively work to assist in the optimization of talent.
Resolves employee problems or issues related to employee relations matters.
Lead hourly employee recruiting from requisition through onboarding. Partner with talent acquisition on the same process for supervisory and management positions.
Participates in candidate selection process and conducts new employee orientation.
Maintains confidential employee data or files and prepares and/or analyzes routine reports related to such.
At the direction of Legal and HR manager, assist with investigations related to policy violations, misconduct, or other circumstances that may result in disciplinary action.
As directed, assist in responding to mediations, litigation and other legal affairs affecting Bunge operations.
Support HR centers of excellence at the facility level with annual development, and workforce planning.
Assist with special projects as required.
May perform responsibilities related to plant operations, including but not limited to safety, and office administration as assigned.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
5 years of related human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Ability to maintain objectivity and discretion with confidential information
Exceptional customer service and team building skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
Previous experience with ADA, FMLA, EEOC and AAP
MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Familiarity with ADP, HR and Payroll system a plus
Self-starter with the ability to work within a team environment
