Cenovus is looking for students seeking an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a refining environment. We are looking for individuals who can bring fresh ideas to the table, and who are willing to learn from some of the industrys most innovative and talented people.
The student will be primarily responsible for desktop support, hardware, and software issue resolution, assisting with the day-to-day support.

What youll do
Gain experience working with IT in the oil and gas industry
Assist with troubleshooting Deskside software and hardware failures and identifying related network problems
support day-to-day operational activities of Deskside computing, mobile devices, telephony, desktop, laptop, workstations, and end-user support service
Help with the support and maintenance of all aspects of Deskside environments
Build a trusted relationship within multiple roles of business and IT groups
Establish and maintain relationships with current IT Support groups
Who you are
Legally entitled to work in the US full-time for a 12-month work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
Available to begin work on around May 5th, 2025
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Reliable transportation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and organization skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks independently in a high-pressure environment
Education
Must be enrolled in a Computer Science Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
Candidates currently enrolled in either a masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities
