Pay: 15.50 to $21.50 based on experience and certification

Description:

This client is a group of doctors offices located in Greenwood. The laboratory draws and runs all samples for Indiana Internal Medicine patients.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Assists in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.

Performs nursing and administrative duties.

Prepares patients for examination and treatment.

Takes patient vital signs, reviews medications and allergies with the patient and enters all health questionnaire information into the EMR, WebChart.

Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.

Gives injections.

Helps room patients.

Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.

Assists physicians or PAs in preparing for Medical procedures

Verifies all patients by DOB (date of birth) and full name.

Performs procedures and accompanying paperwork

Promotes office discharge process as follows:Schedules requested testing, outside physician appointments, writes or enters required lab orders and prescriptions then gives all information to patient with instructions or faxes orders and/or prescriptions to the appropriate facility or pharmacy.

Triages telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse practitioner.

Common conditions treated by our internists include:

Vascular and heart disease, Thyroid disorders, Digestive conditions, Diabetes, Fatigue, Hypertension, Influenza, Menopause, Urinary problems, Mental health, Blood disorders, Osteoarthritis, Pneumonia, Migraines

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have:

– 1 year of medical assistant experience

– MA schooling completed

– Must be vaccinated

Nice to Have:

– Active MA certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NHA, etc) that is currently in good standing

– Rheumatology or internal medicine experience

– Pediatrics experience

– Webchart experience (EMR system)

Pay Structure for Non-Certified MA (If certified, add $1/hour to pay structure below):

0 to 3 years = $15.50 to $17.50

3 to 10 years = $17.50 to $19.50

10 years = $19.50 – $21.50
