Research Technologist II

### Position Summary

The Community Evaluation Programs unit of MSU University Outreach and Engagement conducts research and evaluation projects focusing on the quality, accessibility, and impact of out-of-school time and early childhood education programs across Michigan. We have years of experience working with communities at the state and local levels to produce actionable data through engaged scholarship. Our goal is to promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all children and families.

Primary responsibilities of the position include data collection, data cleaning, analysis, and presentation. The successful candidate will work with other team members on specific projects, though they may also work independently, as needed. They will perform quantitative data management tasks and present findings and results on the project website and various written reports.

### Minimum Requirements

Knowledge normally acquired by completing a four- year college degree program in the specific field of research employment or other related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience performing basic research techniques specific to the area of research employment such as: Analytical Research, Social Science, Medical Research, etc.; word processing, spreadsheet; database and/or desktop publishing software; presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

### Desired Qualifications

Experience with SPSS, Tableau, or a high motivation to learn new programs.
