I.    JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the reconcilement of payment settlement accounts, assisting in financial reporting and other reconcilements.  This position will assist in creating and implementing processes for existing and new lines of business. It requires collaboration and communication with internal and external partners.  The Financial Accountant also monitors trends, identifies areas for improvement and implements strategies to enhance processes.

II.    JOB DUTIES:

A.    Responsible for handling reconciliation process related to all payment methods (cards, credit, merchant services, cash management and other financial products).
B.    Assists in maintaining compliance for FDICIA requirements
C.    Works in conjunction with Finance Project Manager to ensure accurate and timely settlement of projects and duties. 
D.    Routine contact with Financial Institutions, Merchants and Vendors in order to reconcile accounts and to clarify irregularities.
E.    Cooperating with other departments.
F.    Assisting with other duties or reconciliations within the accounting department.
G.    Responsible for assisting in the implementation of new lines of business.
H.    Ensures all levels of compliance are maintained as set by regulatory agencies.
I.    Responsible for identifying process enhancements to aid in the resolution of exceptions, discrepancies, and variances encountered in different applications.
J.    Ensures department procedures are regularly reviewed and updated.
K.    Promotes an environment of forward-thinking and openness to new ideas. 
L.    Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
M.    Assists in completion of Call Report.
N.    All other duties as assigned.

    Experience: 
•    Two years of accounting experience, including account reconciliation preferred

Education:    
High School or equivalent, accounting courses or training helpful.
