At the senior level, the Contract Monitor 12 serves as a leader within PMCD to drive tasks forward including the development of new Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Metrics, contract modifications, updates to PMCD policies and procedures, and the boilerplate reporting process. The Level 12 position will also be a training resource for new staff and a key resource in the process to ensure new contractors are onboarded according to MDOC standards. This position provides oversight and review of contract deliverables, service level agreements and key performance metrics for the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC). These contracts cover a variety of areas including, but not limited to, Community Corrections, Offender Success, Field Operations Administration (FOA), Correctional Facilities Administration (CFA), Food Service, Health Care, Sex Offender services, Substance Abuse services and programming contracts. This position will collaborate within the Department and with contractors to identify program area needs. The contract monitor will provide monitoring and compliance oversight of contract terms and conditions including the review of contractor performance in an efficient, effective, and consistent manner. These contractor relationships are critical for ensuring compliance with effective use of contractor products and services.

Additional Requirements and Information
Work Location: This position is located in Lansing, Michiganand will require reporting in person for the first two weeks. After the initial training period, a hybrid work schedule may be approved that will allow work to be performed remotely up to 50% of the time with the other 50% of the work being performed in-person in Lansing.

New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification. All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
