Manage and implement Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols for R&D and cGMP lab operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, corporate policies, and industry standards for our client.

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional evening or weekend support for 2nd shift)

Salary : $70,000 – $75,000

Key Responsibilities :

1. Ensure employees are trained and equipped for safe work practices.

2. Oversee site safety programs, including fire prevention and chemical safety.

3. Maintain safety protocols (respirator training, chemical hygiene plans, SDS management).

4. Conduct evaluations of hazardous materials and processes.

5. Identify risks, assess hazards, and develop mitigation strategies.

6. Review safety reports and conduct audits to ensure compliance.

7. Investigate incidents, develop corrective actions, and collaborate on prevention strategies.

8. Support customer audits and regulatory inspections as the EHS subject matter expert.

9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage life safety systems.

10. Provide emergency safety support during 2nd shift and occasional Saturdays.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

BS in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.

3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a lab environment.

2 years writing and implementing EHS policies.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and risk management strategies.

Physical Requirements :

Primarily office-based with occasional lab work and use of PPE.

Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and exposure to varying noise levels.
