Diesel Mechanic Tech (Diesel Mechanic Technician)

| | IMKO is recruiting Diesel |
| | Mechanics for our client company, |
| | in the Sioux City, IA area. This |
| | position is a permanent position. |
| | Diesel Mechanic work requires |
| | long periods of standing, |
| | bending, squatting, twisting |
| | etc., and is very physical work. |
| | In this line of work, Diesel |
| | Mechanic will inspect vehicles, |
| | perform routine service, and keep |
| | records of work done. Day-to-day |
| | duties expected of Diesel |
| | Mechanic include the analysis of |
| | trucks, forklifts, trailers, etc. |
| | to determine what is wrong in |
| | unique circumstances, the use of |
| | testing equipment following |
| | repairs to ensure that diesel |
| | powered vehicles are safe to |
| | drive. |
| | |
| | This position does require a |
| | valid drivers license. |
| | MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS |
| | |
| | Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities |
| | are, however, will not be limited |
| | to: |
| | |
| | 1. Rebuild, replace, or repair |
| | vehicle parts such as |
| | engines, brakes, transmission |
| | lines, electrical assemblies, |
| | and accessories. |
| | 2. Use diagnostic equipment to |
| | evaluate mechanical problems |
| | in vehicles. |
| | 3. Running diagnostic test on |
| | diesel engines and |
| | interpreting the results to |
| | offer suitable solutions |
| | 4. Conducting field visits in |
| | case of an emergency or |
| | sudden breakdown |
| | 5. Performs tune ups, brake |
| | jobs, and other preventative |
| | maintenance on cars, trucks, |
| | buses, and other powered |
| | rolling equipment; replaces |
| | common parts and makes |
| | adjustments |
| | 6. Perform other duties as |
| | assigned by management. |
