Site Operations Leader

Eaton’s Aerospace group is seeking an Operations Leader to join our Mission Systems Division (MSD). This person will lead operations for our largest site located at our MSD headquarters in Davenport, IA. We are offering relocation for candidates within the hiring country.
What you’ll do:
The Site Operations Lead is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing Operations Planning, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Learning and Development, Continuous Improvement, Training, and Facilities within the Business Unit. This role focuses on enhancing operations strategy to meet business objectives and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) across the site. The position oversees union operations across three shifts and manages a large team with 8-10 direct reports and overall responsibility for a team of 450.
In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive operations management strategies, assuming ownership and accountability of operations teams, processes, and performance from strategic planning to tactical execution. You will provide leadership and development opportunities to the Operations teams, working collaboratively with Functional Leaders and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Directors to deliver top-tier talent, processes, and KPI achievements. Ensuring all leaders within Operations have “ready now” succession talent to support business continuity and growth is crucial.
You will facilitate and partner with HR on labor relations and union operations, including contract negotiations. Supporting the SIOP process to enhance strategic planning of inventory and factory resource utilization will be key to improving customer satisfaction, market share, and profitability. Additionally, you will oversee strategic operations design, including operating systems, organizational design, and management infrastructure.
Budget management is another critical aspect, where you will develop and manage departmental budgets, including CAPEX planning and execution. Delivering operational excellence through our Eaton Business System (EBS), Eaton Leadership Model (ELM), and continuous improvement programs is essential, as is ensuring compliance with Operational Assessments (OpA), EBS, ESLM, QMS/AS9100, NADCAP, EASA, ISO, and other regulatory requirements. You will also oversee all facilities activities, including buildings, grounds, off-site warehouses, and equipment maintenance.
Meeting or exceeding business plan goals for sales, revenue, profit, cash, and on-time delivery is a primary objective. Establishing and achieving factory cost-out targets in support of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Directors is also important. Finally, maintaining positive, proactive relationships with union committees, primary customers, and internal stakeholders is vital, as measured by feedback from senior customer leadership and customer scorecards.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 10 years of experience in operations/manufacturing management
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
• Minimum of 5 years experience leading people in an operations role.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Business Management.
• Experience in operations/business management within relevant business units.
• Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management and Environment, Safety, and Health regulations.
• Aerospace industry experience preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma expertise/certifications.
• Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies and experience implementing new automation tools a plus.
Skills:
• Proven experience in developing and leading operations organizations and improving KPI performance.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to understand complex business/financial data.
• Ability to work within a large organization’s matrix management structure.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in business finance and linking financial outcomes with operational actions and strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate progressive change.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 – $176110.04 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
