Job Title: Cost Accounting Manager

Job Description

Lead the daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks within the Cost Accounting Team. Perform financial close and reporting, inventory valuation, and review reserves and accruals. Audit and analyze monthly transactions for proper accounting treatment. Prepare FIFO variance capitalization and investigate reasons for significant variances. Prepare necessary cost reports and work with key partners to provide inventory forecast insights. Maintain and develop Gross Margin DB across Forged Products North America Divisions. Lead and maintain the annual standard costing process and ad hoc updates, reflecting those updates in the Syteline system. Analyze and explain variances monthly and monitor item master settings for accuracy. Assist Sales and Industrial Engineering with cost estimates. Advise the Executive Leadership Team based on cost data collected and ad hoc projects. Maintain the Project Control module in Syteline, monitor costs, process revenue milestones, complete projects, and ensure costs are charged to the correct accounts. Prepare and support Government Audits and tax department requests for inventory-related topics. Prepare or review work center efficiency, job variance, job setup, hourly labor distribution, and other cost reports as needed. Prepare inventory control and cost procedures for Sarbanes-Oxley and assist in cost accounting across various business units. Lead and conduct annual physical inventory and audit test counts across Forged Products.
