Diesel Mechanic (NO Weekends)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Perform repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drive train, and steering systems under direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager.

Maintain and repair highly intricate and powerful machinery.

Maintain advanced knowledge and strong skill proficiency in vehicle components and systems, performing complex repair and maintenance functions both on-site and on the road, including suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems, as well as line maintenance welding and fabrication.

Identify the source of malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.

Complete applicable company training programs.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications:

Willing to train any candidates that have experience turning a wrench. The following backgrounds/skillsets work well:

Auto tech

worked in dads garage, industrial maintenance

HVAC

farm hand

Anyone that is mechanically inclined that wants to learn to become a truck/trailer mechanic.

Benefits/Perks:

Opportunity to receiving company paid training for 4 weeks at the companys technical college in Dallas, TX.

Upon completion, employees will receive a diesel certificate.

$1,000 yearly tool allowance

Work Environment

Very clean and well-kept truck shop. Well-lit and climate-controlled. Trucks are washed weekly to maintain a minimal odor.
