Recreation Assistant

The City of Virginia is seeking applicants for part time Recreation Assistant positions for the Park and Recreation Department. Successful applicants may be assigned to work primarily at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center, but may also be utilized in any of the Parks or City owned park facilities. Working in conjunction with the City of Virginia Parks and Recreation Department, the Recreation Assistants will be responsible to: Event setup and/or cleanup. Cleaning and sanitation of facilities, including mopping floors, scrubbing restrooms, and sanitation. Operating Park Concession stands Assisting with Programing and Events in the Park and Recreation Department, such as the Ice Bumper Cars Wage is $18.40 per hour for approximately 15-20 hours per week. The hours of work will include a varied schedule that will include at least two (2) weekends a month.
