This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a PL Part-Time Student-Product Engineering for John Deere – ISG located in Fargo, ND , you will….
Work closely with supervisor or other engineering personnel to support product testing, design and review.
Support the maintenance of documentation for each design in a neat and organized fashion for approval by superior and other engineering personnel.
Performs other engineering tasks as directed under the supervision of an engineering supervisor or mentor.
Both on the job and classroom training will be provided.
This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work 10 hours/week during the academic year
Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
Must be able to commute to the work location in Fargo, North Dakota, on a daily basis year-round
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science: others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior standing students are preferred, Senior standing and those pursuing Advanced degrees may apply.
Graduation date of December 2025 or later

Understanding of basic hardware circuits
Knowledge of test and design tools
Understanding of microprocessor/microcontrollers
Knowledge of power electronics and motor testing
Understanding of LabVIEW programming language
