Overview:
As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for fostering relationships with potential and existing customers, generating opportunities and supporting sales for the Loma North America Sales Team. This is achieved by contacting existing customers and prospects in the market, actively promoting our products through phone call campaigns, emails, e-blasts and other department organized initiatives and campaigns. This is to help drive new revenue for the organization while achieving established targets.
The successful candidate will be a highly driven self-starter that demonstrates strong communication, sales acumen, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Generate, enter, and track equipment and aftermarket sales leads for regional accounts through technical consultative approach and via proactive outbound communication. Act as a Trusted Advisor to grow sales by following established selling processes.
Manage the CRM and Lead Management System accurately and report the status of business opportunities
Develop a high level of understanding of industrial capital equipment solutions to effectively communicate the Loma Systems product and services offerings.
Meet or exceed the objectives attributed to a defined customer segment in accordance with company targets.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers.
Maintain CRM database for all calling activities and create opportunities for quotation and on-site visits.
Provide timely and accurate pipeline reports of sales leads, new account opportunities and other reports as required.
Work with colleagues across departments to create effective business development strategies that generate interest and drive demand for Loma equipment, parts, and services.
Leverage historical data, sales tools, and market analysis to identify potential targets.
Attend all training courses as required. This includes occasional travel with Regional Sales Managers to customer sites for product and customer facing training.
In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their supervisor that are essentially related to their duties.
Essential:
Must be comfortable with cold calling and following up with potential customers and arranging sales calls.
Clearly understands and communicates the company’s value proposition.
Consistently achieves predetermined activity goals.
High school diploma required 2 years of relevant experience in business development, account development, lead generation, sales, or similar role.
Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to manage own workload.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident with both internal and external individuals at all levels. Excellent telephone manner.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and CRM databases (preferably, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
Ability to be flexible and adaptable (willing to experiment with different approaches to determine what works best for the organization and potential customers).
Must be able to occasionally travel (up to 10%) to customer sites as needed.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
Technical or capital equipment B2B sales experience.
