We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, starting ASAP through June 3rd, 2025. This is a full-time position offering 35 hours per week with a caseload that includes Pre-K through 8th-grade students. You will work within a supportive OT team that currently includes 2 OTs and 1 COTA, with plans to expand. The position offers the opportunity to work in both co-taught and specialized programs, and you’ll receive dedicated training and shadowing time to ensure a smooth transition into your role. Position Details:
Full-time: 35 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP through June 3rd, 2025
Work Schedule: 7:50 AM – 3:15 PM (slight variations at the middle school)
Caseload: Approx. 24 students, with potential growth as students qualify for services and the OT becomes familiar with the district
Schools Served: 4 schools covering grades Pre-K through 8th (schools are in close proximity, so a car is required for travel)
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services across multiple schools within close proximity.
Work with students in Pre-K through 8th grade in a mix of co-taught and special programs.
Collaborate with a team of OTs and COTAs to develop effective treatment plans.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students needs.
Implement therapeutic interventions to support motor skills and overall student development.
Qualifications:
Valid OT license in Illinois.
Experience working in school settings with Pre-K through 8th-grade students.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
