THE POSITION
The Department of Human Services at the Cambria County Assistance Office is currently seeking a motivated individual with strong clerical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to join our team. You will have the opportunity to advance your career by utilizing your skills at a supervisory capacity within our department. As a vital member of our team, you will assistant with office management, coordinating assistance programs, and overseeing daily operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and directing the clerical unit, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in providing support to the income maintenance caseworker staff. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the work of the team, as well as providing necessary instructions and training. In this role, you will use your knowledge of computer systems to process assistance benefits and assign work to team members. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing any personnel issues that may arise within the team and recommending appropriate actions. Overall, you will be a key player in maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow within the office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment (37.5-hour work week)
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.
Travel and overtime as operationally necessary
Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with district offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,890.00 (before taxes)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1; or
One year as a Clerical Assistant 3; or
Two years of as a Clerical Assistant 2; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
