Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Engineer you are responsible for achieving a high level of performance at our supplier partners and pursuing ongoing quality improvement through the application of Quality Engineering practices to Philips products, parts, and services purchased from suppliers throughout the product lifecycle, including maintaining change management.
Your role:
Making additions, changes and deletions to approved supplier lists, including the analysis and onboarding of potential new suppliers.
Tracking the development, improvement, reporting, and performance of suppliers, while assessing and mitigating supplier quality risks.
Using the Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) process to analyze the fault, determine whether the supplier is to blame. Collaborating with suppliers on improvement projects related to cause and corrective measures.
Performing APQP plan development, execution, monitoring, and control, as part of sustaining changes.
Assessing and coordinating Supplier Change Requests, while supporting supplier audit schedule development, execution, and maintenance.
Planning and leading internal and external supplier audits, to acceptable ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 standards.
Youre the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 5 years of experience in manufacturing or procurement engineering. Medical device industry experience – a plus.
Your skills include strong technical problem-solving skills (six sigma certification – preferred) and the ability to influence without authority. Electrical component, cables/connectors, PCBA, sheet metal and/or plastics experience – preferred.
You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You’re detail oriented and are able to resolve problems independently, but able to clearly communicate as part of a team.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Reedsville, PA is $89,000 to $139,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
