Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Full-time, base annual salary is $100,000 to $130,000

Your Opportunities

The Pearson brand team is looking for an experienced project manager to support the global roll out and ongoing maintenance of a new Pearson brand strategy, architecture, and identity.

Day to day, the person in this role will act as a task master for the brand team, keeping track of and communicating changes to scopes of work, budgets, and timelines. They will ensure a seamless workflow and keep multiple stakeholders accountable for their deliverables.

This role requires someone who can work across a complex, global organization with professionals at various levels with confidence and ease, fostering collaborative relationships among the brand team and the rest of the organization.

In the short term, the project manager will focus their skills on supporting the roll out of Pearson’s new brand identity, architecture, and strategy. They will work with a variety of stakeholders across the brand team, social media team, design teams, corporate communications, employee communications, UX/UI, marketing, and more. Through the roll out, the project manager will keep track of all work streams and communicate proactively to drive the new brand work forward.

In the long term, the project manager will help maintain the brand team’s daily operations. From managing creative review and naming processes to upholding brand governance rules and managing the Brand Hub, the project manager will be an invaluable member of the team, helping to increase adoption of correct brand processes across Pearson.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Brand Rollout: The project manager will lead logistics and operations to roll out the new Pearson brand identity, strategy, and architecture.

Understand how the new brand identity, strategy, and architecture will impact divisions across the business.

Collaborate with agencies and internal team members to develop optimal rollout project schedule and workflows, ensuring workstreams are completed in the most efficient order.

Proactively communicate changes to rollout plans to all relevant stakeholders.

Ensure completion of scope of work (SOW) agreements and communicate any changes to SOWs.

Track budget spend for all operations related to the roll out.

Partner with the Brand Manager and Creative Lead to develop a Pearson Brand Hub, helping to gain approval for tech systems and set up internal operations needed for the Hub.

Partner with the brand team to procure and implement the use of brand governance AI tools and generative AI tools for branded content.

Track all work against roll out objectives and goals.

Work with the Brand Manager and Creative Lead to develop and schedule brand training processes for internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Brand Operations

Support procurement and legal needs, including coordinating contracts with third parties and gaining approval for new tech systems as needed.

Lead workflows and deadlines for ongoing application of the new brand identity to each division by managing meeting invitations and keeping project tracking tools up to date.

Track adherence to brand governance rules across Pearson and identify teams that require more assistance and/or areas for improvement in our brand governance system.

Manage and track creative requests and review processes for digital and print assets.

Escalate out-of-scope changes and requests to appropriate stakeholders.

Identify areas for improvement and suggest new tools or processes to improve brand team’s efficiency and brand adoption across Pearson.

Track work against team OKRs.

Key Attributes:

8 years of experience in project management in a brand or marketing environment, ideally including experience with a global brand roll out or rebrand

Knowledge of cross-function marketing areas of expertise (corporate brand, content, social media, paid media, PR, web)

Experience in a highly matrixed, global organization.

Advanced, proactive communication skills and comfort interacting with individuals at a variety of levels.

Expertise in managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders, both internal and external (agencies).

Experience with the development or management of a brand hub and digital asset management (DAM) system .

Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.

Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to influence outcomes with persuasiveness and candor.

Ability to adapt style and approach to match the diversity of stakeholder interactions.

Able to operate in a global environment and demonstrate international cultural agility.

A track record of achievement, translating complex strategies into actionable plans.

Experience with Microsoft Teams Planner and SharePoint.

Detail and deadline oriented.

Project management certification (PMP) is not required but preferred.

Experience with AI brand and marketing tools is a plus.
