Cloud Architect

Job Description

This is an ongoing mission-led program that provides and evolves a cloud-based computing environment dedicated to advancing complex analytical and exploratory capabilities. Built using Amazon Web Services (AWS), this is a key enablement that securely offers a variety of cloud services, flexible compute options, and scalable storage needed to support diverse oversight engagements. Mission teams carry out portfolios of projects within as cloud tenants to develop data science solutions, explore use of emerging technologies, and conduct advanced cybersecurity research.

Hourly Rate: 80-90/hr

Skills and Requirements

1. Current AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification (Associate level at a minimum, Professional level highly preferred)

1. Current AWS Solutions Architect certification (Associate level at a minimum, Professional level highly preferred)

2. Minimum 8 year of directly relevant AWS cloud infrastructure and solution architecture experience; must include experience with microservice architecture in AWS GovCloud and commercial partitions

3. Experience advising management and executives with design tradeoff decisions (GAO uses Confluence to document available options and Lucid Charts for architecture diagramming)

4. Experience operating within a SAFe or similar agile operating environment
