Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (BACKFLOW INSPECTOR) of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. PAY RANGE FOR THE GS 11 $82764-$107590 PAY RANGE FOR THE GS 12 $99200-$128956 Responsibilities You will evaluate technical engineering work performed by others to ensure compliance with engineering practices and specifications You will create technical plans for system development, fielding, and sustainment processes. You will interpret technical engineering specifications to prepare contract statements of work Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification, certification, and record keeping of backflow preventers for portable water production and distribution systems; 2) Provides advisory services for conducting certification inspections of backflow preventers; 3) Coordinates, schedules and performs inspections, tests and certifications for backflow prevention and cross connection programs; and 4) Utilizes visual inspections, building plans, blueprints, sketches to plan and lay out and/or modify pipe routing the backflow prevention assembly (BPA) installation.
