Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Logistics Manager for the Garner, NC shipping hub, located in the Raleigh, NC area.
The Facility
225,0000 sq. ft
Direct oversight of 40 associates, consisting of 10 drivers
WMS environment
Must be able to maintain flexible scheduling to provide support and guidance to all shifts
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for our shipping hub
Promote and drive safety daily in the workplace, creating a safe work environment for associates
Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts
Drive high levels of quality in customer deliveries, inventory integrity within the building, and maintain associate engagement throughout the operation
Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training and providing professional development for all of its associates
Lead and coordinate associates performing activities including; unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order selection and
Shipping of outbound orders, cycle counting, and final mile delivery services to our customers.
Ensure cleanliness levels are maintained in our sites
Ensure integrity of inventory and assure that cycle counts are completed daily and accurately
Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to management
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, industrial management, or related technical or education subject area is preferred
7 years experience in distribution management leading 30 employees in a large distribution/warehouse environment
A strong background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required
Previous experience working in a WMS environment is a must
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
Strong understanding of Logistics and Warehousing
Strong interactive communication skills with ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization
Hands on experience managing a team, including selection, training, mentoring, and performance management
Material Handling Equipment Certification
Experience leading a team of delivery drivers is a plus
A proven understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations
Ability to pro-actively plan and make timely decisions

Pay Range:

$7,949.70 – $17,325.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
