Job Overview:

The Tavern Coordinator has the responsibility of providing exceptional service and quality to residents and guests.  Other responsibilities will include preparing food orders accurately and serving the customer.   This role alsoassistswith property events and working closely with the Property Manager. Willbe responsible forordering and receiving inventory, cash handling; including reconciliations, point of sales and menu signage.  Responsible forestablishingwork schedules for volunteer workers andto ensureproper staffing.  Ensure that all ABC and Health Department laws and requirements aremaintainedandcomplied withby all staff members.  Ensure that permits and licenses are displayed, per State and County regulations. 

Your Responsibilities:

Inventory Control / Par Stock

– Establish and maintain Inventory Control system for F&B in order to minimize expenses, spoilage and loss.  Monthly inventory to be taken at the end of each month.

– Establish and maintain a Par Stock Level. Ordering / Receiving

– Responsible for the submission of all F&B ordering following established Order Guides.

– Receive all orders and rotate stock Special Events

– Work with a committee of resident volunteers to create and execute themed menus for holidays and events per the season.

– Manage advertising for the venue by creating posters and decorating per season / holiday. Cash Handling / Reconciliation

– Maintain Cash Float / Petty Cash.

– Fill out and submit proper Reports and Balance Sheets.

– Responsible for overages and shortages with on duty staff.

– Point of Sale / Signage

– Use P.O.S. material to advertise and sell products.

– Understands and ability to operate P.O.S. system.

– Organize displays, menus, etc. Schedule / Staff

– Establish and maintain staff schedules for regular F&B service and special events

– Maintain Training / Skill levels for all staff to meet expectations.

– Communicate with management team regarding needs for special events.
– Attendregular weekly staff meetings to enhance communication between all management and supervisory staff. 

Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years customer service experience.
2 years food and beverage experience.
2 years supervisor / managerial experience in the food and beverage industry.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job function
Ability to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and finger

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday 11:30am – 8:00 pm
