ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead Building Automation Controls Technician at Honeywell, you will be accountable for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building automation systems for our aerospace/avionic customers in the Huntsville AL area. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems, responding to and resolving complex service calls, and providing technical facilitation and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. In addition, you will be accountable for performing preventive maintenance, programming multiple systems, and ensuring system backups and updates are installed. Your expertise in virtual machines, system imaging, and networking will be utilized to serve the needs of our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC building automation systems
Self-reliantly troubleshoot and repair complex issues on HVAC building automation systems
Program multiple systems
Perform system backups and install appropriate updates and patches
Run one-off problems, scenarios, and integrations based on customer needs
Program EBIs
Apply knowledge of virtual machines, system imaging, and networking to serve customer needs
Complete required documentation for work performed and contractual obligations
Proper use of safety personal protection equipment
Obtain necessary security and other clearances as required by the customer
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
MUST HAVE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience troubleshooting HVAC building automation control systems (Hardware & Software)
Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record
WE VALUE
Associates degree in engineering or a related field
General network knowledge
Experience working with open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LON, etc.)
Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience
Experience with Tridium, Niagara, N4, EBI, or other Commercial Industrial Systems
Tridium Niagara certification
5 years of industry experience
Technical training
