J1 Electrical Maintenance Technician

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (12-hour rotating shift) Rotating 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) on a 28 day rotation swinging from nights to days weekly — 36 hours one week, 48 the next week (8 hours built in OT every check). A total of 7 DAY shifts, 7 NIGHT shifts, and 14 OFF shifts every 28 days.

This is a J1 level E&I Technician position responsible for completing scheduled and routine maintenance work along with performing many other duties, both as part of a team and independently.  Duties include, but are not restricted to, electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair, conduit and wire installation, lighting repair, PLC troubleshooting and repair, drive troubleshooting and repair, as well as instrumentation / control valve calibration, troubleshooting and repair.

Minimum Qualifications:

– Must be at least age 18
– High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
– Eligible for employment in the US
– Three (3) or more years verifiable experience as a J1 Electrical technician
– Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience
– Must possess high standards in the areas of safety, quality, ethics, craftsmanship, customer focus, and leadership skills.
– Skilled in maintenance and troubleshooting of Electrical related equipment and process problems
– Knowledge of key operating areas, PLCs AC & DC drives, analog and digital field instrumentation, and DCS equipment..
 

Preferred Qualifications:

– Two year Associate Degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines (Instrumentation or Electrical).
– Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
– Strong math/physics understanding
– Prior experience as a multi-skilled Electrical/Instrumentation Technician
