Clinical Improvement (Research) Project Coordinator – Jobst Vascular Institute – Full Time – Days

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Provides clinical project coordination for Jobst Vascular Institute and the Vascular Service line across the health system, including acute care, ambulatory and clinic setting. No direct reports.

POSITION SUMMARY

To promote and assist in the organization and growth of vascular service line, strategic initiatives, data analytics, research, quality, and education programs. To enhance market share and local, regional and national reputation as the premier and preferred vascular service in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan by assisting Jobst leadership with project development and implementation. Will work in close collaboration with the operations team of Jobst Vascular Institute as well as all physicians and ancillary staff. Incorporates the philosophy and mission of the ProMedica and Jobst Vascular Institute in all services provided. Note: Positon may have responsibilities that are focused on one or more of the specific accountabilities identified below.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Acts as project coordinator for vascular specific meetings and projects for the improvement of clinical care, patient outcomes and operations as identified by Jobst and ProMedica’s strategic plan.
Reviews and/or develops research protocols, including feasibility and budget, develops plans to operationalize protocols, assists with regulatory requirements in conjunction with Principal Investigator and department staff.

Responsible for screening, consenting and recruitment of research studies as well as documentation and compliance for per study protocol, sponsor and regulatory requirements.
Assists with analysis and reporting of research, quality or operational data and/or metrics using EPIC, VQI, STRATA or other data management systems.
Assists with collection of abstraction of data related to quality, Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI) registry and vascular-related research projects.
Assists with education initiatives targeting the community, clinical staff and learners associated with Jobst Vascular Institute.
Work closely with PHS MARCOM to effectively promote the vascular service line.
Effective oral and written communication skills, ability to work with patients, clinical and operations team.
Other duties/projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Must have Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in health care related field

Skills: Excellent computer skills including Epic EMR and excel. Strong inter-personal skills both written and verbal

Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in health care; vascular/cardiovascular experience, office and/or acute care is desirable

License: Current healthcare license (if needed for profession)

Certification: CPR training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Years of Experience: 3 years of clinical, quality or research experience

License: Registered Nurse

Certification: Not required

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

Must be able to successfully complete the hospital/unit professional orientation.

Responsible for maintenance of competency. Ability to travel. Ability to engage effectively with all team members to build a team approach to problem solving.

(E) Must be able to move about hospital and between workstations; and prolonged periods of standing.

(E) Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills.

(E) Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, temperature changes and exposure to blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids.

(E) Must be able to move, lift and carry light to heavy patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.

(E) Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
