Field Service Engineer

Job Description
Installs new or modified equipment at customers facility to ensure full functionality
Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives
Inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem
Determine source of problem, and recommends repair and replacement
Coordinates problem resolution with engineering
Review machine designs and engineering drawings
Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and processes
Develops service handbooks and bulletins based on engineering changes
Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided
Tuition reimbursement
Will travel up to 75 percent
Must Have
5 years of previous field service experience
Mechanically inclined
Ability to read blueprints
Preferred-
Associates or Bachelors in Engineering
Electrical and Mechanical experience
Conveyer experience
Hydraulics experience
Work Environment
Very large, clean manufacturing space attached to a multi-story office building. When not traveling, time will be spent troubleshooting equipment. Work schedule includes 10-12 hour days with time and a half for overtime. Majority of jobs last 3 days, with some extending up to 2 weeks. Travel 2-3 weeks each month, including some travel to Mexico and Canada.
