Job Title: Financial Controller

Location : Cleveland, OH

Reports to: CFO/Executive Leadership

Salary: $110,000 to $140,000 annually bonus and benefits.

ALTA IT Services has a direct-hire opening for an experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in cost accounting to lead the accounting function at our client’s Cleveland-based operation. This is an onsite position in Cleveland, OH with the potential for hybrid work after 3 months in the position.

The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for overseeing all accounting processes, financial analysis, and internal controls to ensure the financial health of the company. This position will be the lead finance role in the business unit and will work closely with the FP&A manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all accounting operations including cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Manage and monitor the companys financial planning processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.

Oversee and improve cost accounting systems, methods, and procedures to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Supervise a small team of accounting professionals, providing leadership and development.

Qualifications

7-15 years of experience as a Controller, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

Proven expertise in cost accounting and financial management.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience leading teams and collaborating with cross-functional leadership.
