The caregiver in this role will help fulfill the Cleveland Clinic mission to provide more patients with their medications and supplies in a timely and safe manner. There is a rotation of stations in which the caregivers work within the delivery operation. Caregivers will have the opportunity to further their career and personal development as opportunities arise.

A caregiver in this position works Day/Evening/Night/Weekend, from 11:00am-7:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Accurately pick supplies for all corresponding drug therapies.

Accurately overwrap medications and supplies as directed, acknowledging special packaging requirements when necessary (e.g., refrigeration, room temperature).

Package enteral orders for delivery.

Collaborate with pharmacy office team to ensure supply tickets, medication and equipment have been checked for accuracy per policies before leaving the building.

Assist the Dispatcher in coordinating deliveries and calling patients.

Work closely with our pharmacists, patients and courier services to schedule and manage deliveries when on-call.

Triage incoming calls from the answering service, investigates issues and follows up with the appropriate party in a timely manner.

Comply with all Federal, State and JCAHO regulations.

Comply with all hazardous materials management procedures.

Participate in company performance improvement activities and competency enhancing activities.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Can read and understand pharmacy orders and delivery tickets.

Can perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) quickly and accurately to pack appropriate supplies in delivery boxes.

Is detail-oriented to help assure accuracy in work.

Work well as part of a Team.

Demonstrate good customer service skills with internal and external customers.

Can work under high pressure, in a fast-paced environment.

Can perform on-call when assigned and work holidays and weekends.

Basic computer skills.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Warehouse, shipping/packing, Durable medical equipment, or pharmacy experience.

Physical Requirements:

Able to stand 90% of the time.

Able to lift 60 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
