What Youll Accomplish as AVP, Business Intelligence & Insights
The AVP for Business Intelligence & Insights is responsible for designing and developing Business Intelligence (BI) products as well as performing deep dive analysis around key datasets to identify opportunities in the business that drive actionable insights and enable smart decision-making across Global Operations including Servicing, Collections & Recovery. BI solutions will include, but shall not necessarily be limited to: associate performance, site comparisons, operational performance, delinquency forecasting, and other areas as needs. The successful candidate must be intellectually curious, proactive, collaborative, driven, and communicative.
The successful candidate will be key in furthering the use of Business Intelligence (BI) tools and products within the team.

What Youll Do:
Champion Customers: Develop in depth data solutions that provide key business insights. Leverage data analytics to derive insights from customer behavior, customer experience and associate metrics to drive business actions
Relate and Inspire: Collaborate with process owners across different teams in Operations on analytical projects. Incorporate new data elements, sources and channels to help promote efficient and effective strategies and customer contact preferences
Elevate Every Day : Execute projects under aggressive deadlines with limited guidance and direction from management.
Act as Owners: Prepare and deliver presentations summarizing findings into insights and recommendations; demonstrate an ability to communicate the same in technical and business terms.
Support loss/cost and sizing estimations to enable prioritization and demonstrate business benefit
Provide thought leadership, strategic and analytic support to the group through the utilization of data mining skills and business knowledge
Conduct ad-hoc analyses and reporting as needed.
Develop process controls and produce documentation, as needed.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Experiences Youll Need to Succeed:
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence. In lieu of degree, minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence.
5 years of query and reporting, statistical analysis, forecasting, data mining, and data visualization.
5 years of experience with Tableau.
5 years of Advanced SQL experience.
2 years of Agile development experience.
5 years with Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking toward tactical execution
Experience with R and/or Python delivering analytics solutions.
Previous experience in retail finance or financial services; special consideration for domain knowledge of SYF Collections processes and procedures, especially outbound operations and inbound servicing, including the application landscape supporting said operations.
Experience working with large amounts of data from various databases and warehouses
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 – 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you dont meet the time in position or performance expectations).
