Remote Snowflake Engineer/Consultant

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a remote Snowflake Engineer/ Consultant for a short-term contract opportunity with the potential for extension. This role will support one of our Financial clients in Cincinnati with the next stage in their Snowflake implementation journey. This position will be both hands on engineering and architecting/strategy. Additionally, they will be responsible for:

 Lead and support our infrastructure team to implement business use case using Snowflake.

 Integrate Snowflake with our existing technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database, Tableau, Alation.

 Create Datamart for our internal Enterprise Risk Management department.

 Implement Python modeling with Snowpark

Skills and Requirements

5 years of Date Engineering Experience

 3-5 years of Snowflake experience

o experience bringing in data from multiple sources (Azure SQL, CSV, etc.)

o Snowflake integration experience with existing technologies ( Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database, Tableau, Alation)

o coaching teams in Snowflake adoption

 Python/SnowSQL for implementing risk models in Python

 Azure Data Factory Experience in FHLB, banking or a financial industry, or a highly regulated and secure environment

 Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Database

 Experience training people on snowflake null
