Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Buyer Planner to join our procurement team. In this role, you will own the raw material forecasts and supply plans, manage order placement and follow-up, and provide excellent service to the plant to drive manufacturing. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in planning, procurement, and analytical abilities.
Responsibilities:
Raw Material Forecasting & Supply Planning:
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for raw material and packaging requirements.
Create supply plans to ensure timely availability of materials.
Frequently monitor demand trends and adjust supply plans
Focus on ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules and support manufacturing efficiency.
Order Management:
Place purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner based on forecasts and supply plans.
Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
Ensure that order placements align with production needs and plant schedules.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, balancing cost and service levels.
Coordinate with relevant departments to manage inventory discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
Collaboration & Service Focus:
Work closely with suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
Maintain a strong focus on providing excellent service to the plant to drive manufacturing success.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a planning role within procurement, supply chain, or a related function.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Experience working with Dynamics 365 is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address challenges proactively
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
